The Greater Los Angeles Steering Committee is a volunteer group of ABC Members who are committed to creating a community of festive involvement, social networking, and inspiring growth and education. These members volunteer their time, energy and resources for the benefit of those goals and the betterment of our professional wedding community.

Co-Director, Carol Saunders : Represents the local networking group at all events, directs the group’s activities, collects RSVP’s for the networking meetings, and plans and directs the steering committee meetings.

Co-Director, Jackie Korman : Coordinates the banking and financial reports, collects and manages Raffle Prize donations, and coordinates registration at networking meetings.

Co-Director, Mary Sushinski : Coordinates various details involved with planning both the networking events & the educational workshops.

Communications: Maita Henson Miyake : Sends email announcements and ABC-GLA Event invitations, and provides membership information to those interested in joining ABC.

Showcase Vendors, Erin Adams: Coordinates the Showcase Vendors for the networking events for the year, creates printed program of Showcasing Vendors for each event.

Site Inspections, Carol Rosen: Scouts both new and existing venues and visits those in consideration for upcoming events.

Educational Workshops, Alexandra Rembac : Coordinates the topics and locations of Educational Workshops. Assembles the panel of experts, gathers handouts and worksheets and leads the Workshop discussions.

Website and Blog Directory Liaison, Dahlia Wexler, Pamela Yeager and Alexandra Rembac : Updates the website with the ABC-GLA monthly events, handles revisions and improvements on the website. Liaison between members and web developer. Blogs about upcoming events, featured vendors and posts photos from past events. Manages membership listings and general inquiries from the website.

Novice Liaisons & Internships, Valerie Miller : Welcomes new novice members to ABC, coordinates development and placement of novices to professional vendor and coordinator internships and mentorships.

Committee Members (Nesly Palacios, Lina Wallace, Matthew Beaumont, Pamela Yager) : Participates in the planning, organizing and execution of the networking events and calendar. General duties include set up and break down, registration table, greeting and hosting at networking events; attendance to and participation in Monthly Steering Committee Planning Meetings.
